“Health is a state of complete mental, social and physical well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”– World Health Organization, 1948
Living a healthy lifestyle has many moving parts and it can be made as simple or complex as someone wants it to be. What is important to keep in mind is that there are so many different ways to live healthy and what works best for one person is not what is always best for another. This being said there are components that every person should consider when aiming to create a healthy lifestyle based in wellbeing. The components are:
- Eat more Veggies.
- Get enough Sleep.
- Cultivate a connection with your beliefs.
- Drink more water.
- Spend time in nature.
- Exercise regularly.
- Cleanse your your body.
- Eat more fruit.
“It is health that is the real wealth, and not pieces of gold and silver.”– Mahatma Gandhi
As you set a goal to live healthier and take into consideration the components of the above list and start different levels of implementation into your own life. Maybe vegetarianism is for you, maybe you feel best when you are on a high protein diet, maybe you function best on 5 hours of sleep with an afternoon nap, maybe you are best with a solid 8 hours a night. The only way to know what works best for you is testing it.
“Healthy citizens are the greatest asset any country can have.”– Winston Churchill
Do yourself a favor and start making changes in your life for your wellbeing. Your body and mind will both thank you.
